2016 Best School Blood Drive Coordinator Awarded to
Teachers Bill Puhse and Amy Heath
Nominated by Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, faculty members Bill Puhse and Amy Heath, who oversee Granite City High School’s National Honor Society, have been organizing 4 blood drives a year since 2009.
Not only do they target the student body but they hold the drives after school and into the evening and invite members of the community to participate and it has now become a tradition for alumni to return every year to donate.
