2019 Best School Blood Drive Coordinator Awarded to
DANVILLE high school MATH teacher RACHEL sEIbert


The 2019 Best School Blood Drive Coordinator Award Rachel Seibert of Danville High School Math Teacher Rachel Seibert. Rachel organizes multiple drives a year for the school and is very concerned with nutrition and the student’s health, making up “iron kits” with raisins and other healthy snack to make sure the students are eligible for donation.  Many of Miss Siebert’s students go on to become regular donors in college and as they enter the workforce. Rachel was nominated by Community Blood Services of Illinois.  Rachel received a House Congratulatory Certificate from State Representative Mike Marron (R-Danville) at the award ceremony and Danville Mayor Ricky Williams was also on hand to honor Rachel.
