IL Coalition of Community Blood Centers Joins Local Legislators in Honoring Ringwood Resident
Ringwood Resident Arnie Diedrich, was recently received the 2016 State’s Most Innovative Blood Drive Coordinator Award.
The award presentation was held Saturday, September 10th, on National Blood Donor Day, at a blood drive organized by Arnie on behalf of the St. John the Baptist Church Knights of Columbus in Johnsburg. Arnie also received a copy of a House Resolution honoring his achievements introduced by Rep. Jack Franks (D-Woodstock) and a Congratulatory Certificate on behalf of the Illinois Senate from Sen. Pam Althoff (R-Crystal Lake). |
Since organizing his first blood drive in 2003, Arnie has been responsible for the collection of over 4,500 units of blood and he personally has donated 55 pints of blood and donated double red cells 18 times. These donations have had the capacity to save over 13,000 lives. Arnie was nominated by Heartland Blood Centers.
